Old meets New

For example, Tokyo has many facets. A knife shop that has been handed down by a family for hundreds of years in an alley behind a cutting-edge building complex, a city diner next to a Michelin-starred restaurant where an 80-year-old grandmother greets regular customers like family.

Your guide is both your navigator and a good companion. Let's Go out with them in search of something unique to you!

Seasonal Delights

Touching the scenery of Japan in each of the four seasons gives you a feeling that makes your heart soar and tickles your sense of adventure.

Cherry blossoms in spring, autumn leaves in autumn, and snowy scenery in winter add to our dreams and hopes and give us inspiration for life.

The excitement brought by the change of the four seasons is more than words can express. Each season shakes our hearts and invites excitement for the unknown.

Oh deer !

In Japan, deer in Nara and the sacred island of Miyajima in Hiroshima are considered divine animals, regarded as symbols of blessings. Designated as Natural Treasures, these friendly creatures roam freely, often approaching visitors in the parks.

Take your time to enjoy their company, as they embody the spirit of harmony between nature and culture. Spending a leisurely moment with these gentle deer offers a unique and tranquil experience that captures the essence of Japan’s natural beauty.

Taste real Japan

Japan is a culinary paradise, offering a diverse range of flavors from around the world. It boasts an impressive number of Michelin-starred restaurants, showcasing not just traditional Japanese cuisine but also renowned Italian, French, and various ethnic options.

At the heart of Japanese cooking is the concept of umami, often derived from dashi, a rich broth made with dried mushrooms and seaweed. This foundational element enhances the depth of flavor in many dishes. Each region has its unique specialties, making every meal an adventure. Enjoy your culinary journey!

Meet Samurai

The term "samurai" embodies the spirit of swordsmanship, a concept that still resonates deeply within Japanese culture. Embracing the way of the samurai involves not only mastering techniques but also adopting the mindset and values that define this noble path. Courtesy and respect are fundamental in Japanese society, reflecting the samurai’s code.

Meet Anime Hero!

For enthusiasts of anime and game culture, exploring the vibrant streets of Akihabara is a must. This district is a treasure trove of eclectic offerings, from anime merchandise to cutting-edge games.

Did you know that many Japanese animations draw inspiration from Shinto beliefs? By diving into the rich narratives of Japanese anime, you can truly connect with the essence of nature spirits and cultural heritage that permeates these stories. Each tale invites you to experience the depth and beauty of Japan's traditions in a modern context.

Feel Tradition

The red torii gates, traditionally seen as guardians that ward off evil spirits, are iconic symbols throughout Japan. While Fushimi Inari Shrine is famous for its stunning rows of torii gates, you’ll find these gates in many places, even in small alleyways and corridors across the country.

Visiting shrines to make wishes for happiness or the healthy growth of children is a cherished custom in Japanese culture, passed down through generations. It’s not solely a religious practice, but rather a beautiful tradition that reflects the deep connection people have with their heritage and the natural world. As you explore Japan, take a moment to appreciate the significance of these torii gates and the warmth of the customs surrounding them.

Unforgettable Memory

Kyoto served as Japan’s capital for over 1,200 years, preserving a wealth of unique cultural heritage, including aristocratic traditions, long-established artisan crafts, and serene gardens. As you wander through the city, you’ll notice the distinct differences between strolling gardens, designed for leisurely walks, and dry landscape gardens, or "karesansui," which emphasize simplicity and contemplation.

Exploring these diverse garden styles offers a fascinating glimpse into the artistic and philosophical values of Japanese culture. Each garden tells a story, inviting you to experience tranquility and reflection in its carefully curated landscapes. Kyoto’s gardens are truly a treasure to discover!

Take a break before you leave

Good news for those who want to make the most of every second!

Why don't you enjoy one last sightseeing tour of Japan after checking out of your hotel until your evening or night flight? Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, load your suitcases into the car, and depart for ”Last minutes tour”.

For example, on the way to the airport, there is a wonderful place for rest and relaxation, lined with samurai residences and beautiful bamboo forests. It is also fun to wear a kimono and enjoy crafts in a village where you can experience life in the Edo period (1603-1868) or relax and eat soba noodles while enjoying the countryside scenery. There are also places for children to play, perfect for families!

Worth Your Time and Money!

My wife and I chose the public transport half-day tour and had Hitomi as our guide. Everything went well and communication with her on WhatsApp was easy to discuss what we wanted to see. We were picked up at our hotel and, just as described, had our own private guide to Tokyo, it's attractions, and it's public transportation system. This was our first time to Japan, and i recommend this company. I also recommend this tour specifically at the beginning of your time in Japan as Hitomi was helpful with all aspects of navigating this amazing city and providing insights on other tours or sights to visit. Worth the money, a memorable highlight of our vacation.

Trust in Take for Terrific Tokyo tour

I would have rated Take a ten if I could! From the moment our tour was confirmed, Take contacted us to inquire what our interests were and he continuously communicated with suggestions and planning a customized tour for us. He met us at our hotel and handled all of our transit needs. take was flexible throughout the day and took care to find us a wonderful Vegan/ vegetarian restaurant for lunch. All along the way Take would talk about the history of Japan and Tokyo and the significance of each place we visited. He was wonderful about taking pictures and finding the perfect spots with gorgeous views and backgrounds. He even assisted with recommendations for our time in Tokyo after completing our tour. We feel touring with Take was well worth the money spent and highly recommend Rake for Tokyo tours.

Curating the perfect special Japanese experience

The team worked with my boyfriend to plan a private tour for him to propose, and was very accommodating and curated a unique experience tailored to us. They helped him with the proposal process, including finding the perfect spot for us to have our proposal moment. Thank you so much to our guides and the team for their attentiveness and for being so knowledgeable, friendly, and making this experience so special. The sake tour is very special and private, since this area is not available to the public, so we especially loved it!

Private tour, introduction to Tokyo.

What a spectacular experience and introduction to Tokyo. They gave me a number of options and then curated a tour designed for my specific interests (history, art, culture). Everything was a highlight but especially the Buddhist ceremony, Edo Museum and saki tasting experience! A big thank you to Miyuki, a most excellent guide!

Lasting Mother/Son Memories made in Kyoto 2025

The Omakase team came through again but this time in Kyoto. We booked a full day private guide and Yumiko-san did not disappoint. Wow - we had a list to get through from buying Kimono's to finding a Japanese Giants MLB hat (which we had forgotten to get when in Tokyo). Yumiko-san spent all her time rushing from shop to shop to make sure we got exactly what we needed.

Our Tea Ceremony was everything we hoped for - not only was matcha tea ceremonially made for us but we were given the opportunity of doing it all ourselves - a real treat. On top of the ceremony, we were also given a guided tour of a traditional Japanese house - narrow but with everything you need including a little garden in the middle to let in light.

Our ask - we want to see the monkeys! They were delivered with us exploring Arashiyama (well worth it but expect a very energetic climb up the mountain - the view is an aha moment). Arashiyama has so much to explore - give Otagi Nenbutu-ji Temple and Tenryu-ji Temple a visit and don't miss the bamboo forests. We bought ourselves a little time so Yumiko-san got on the phone and found us a rickshaw ride that took us right through the bamboo forest - AMAZING.

Unfortunately, 1 days is not enough to explore everything - Kyoto and Omakase/Yumiko-san will definitely see us again. Thank you for taking such great care of us and ensuring we have amazing memories to last us a lifetime. Your ideas and WhatsApp chats kept us on point and I could not encourage others more to reach out. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect way to see Himeji, Kyoto, Osaka

We did a total of five tours with OMAKASE tours, 3 full day tours to Kyoto and Himeji, and 2 half day tours to Osaka. It was a pleasure to have Oki-san and Miho-san as tour guides, they tailored the days exactly to our needs. And in addition to all the temples, shrines, and castles, Oki-san showed us the right places to eat. We enjoyed every minute, and we are already looking forward to our next trip, definitely again with Oki-san and Miho-san.

great Kyoto tour

We had a fantastic time with OKI-san on our half-day tour! We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine and Kiyumizu-sera Temple. Our guide greatly added to our experience with lots of information, taking pictures and facilitating the travel between sites. And our recommended lunch spot (tempura) was delicious (note lunch not included for halfday tour). Overall 5 stars! I highly recommend this tour and our guide Motoi Okishio.
